Decision Point's proprietary Price Momentum
Oscillator (PMO) plays a central role among the analysis tools on
the Decision Point web site. It is used as:
(1) A device by which we can perform
relative strength ranking of various stocks, mutual funds, and indexes;
and
(2) A momentum indicator for analyzing
price movement, internal strength, and making buy and sell decisions.
This dual function is unique and extremely
useful because, while viewing it in its role as a traditional analysis
tool to analyze a single price index, we also get a sense of the
probable performance of the index within the context of relative
strength rotation. To help you fully understand and utilize the PMO
we have prepared a series of articles explaining how to use and interpret
it.
